Managing stress!

I would say that I am a very positive person but I am only human and I do feel the effects of stress on a daily basis, especially at the moment when I, like a lot of people, have a mountain of exams to look forward to. So I have developed a little list of things that excite me that I can take a couple of hours out of my day to enjoy and look forward to. If you like me enjoy the simple things in life read on however if you only get thrill from danger then you will not find that here so I suggest you click away (or read on I don't mind)...

1. Have a nice bath! There are few things as relaxing as a bath so run a steaming one take your magazine or book, out on your favourite radio station, really pamper yourself for a good hour and just empty your mind of worries.

2. Watch Miranda! Now it obviously doesn't have to be Miranda just an example but watch something that you can have a good, hard, uncontrolable, laugh and get rid of all negativity

3. Make yourself something nice to eat or drink! Today I made a smoothie and presented it all pretty and oh wow I got a thrill from that.

4. Watch you tube! Get lost in new videos you haven't seem before, find new people to subscribe to wind down make a cup of tea and lounge in front of your machine, as my granda calls his laptop, enjoying yourself

5. Find new blogs! Maybe mine? And follow them there are fewer thrills better than discovering a blogger that you love.

And finally... SMILE whether you feel like it or not try and smile and look at all the positives and ignore the negatives

What's in My Bag?

I love love love watching these videos on you tube and have always wanted to do one however I am a tad camera shy so have taken the blog post option. I guess I love them so much as I am quite a nosey person. Also just to let you know this is my weekend bag as I am still at school and it would bore you half to death if I did a 'what's in my school bag' as all it contains usually is paper, books and a piece of fruit I have discarded at lunchtime.

Let's start at the very beginning (a very good place to start) my bag is from Topshop and cost £38! I bought it at the beginning of september as a perfect autumn/winter bag as I thought the burgundy and the patent leather looked quite wintery. It fits a lot in and I like the presence of the longer and shorter straps.

I tend to have in my bag the obvious phone, keys, purse, chewing gum, paracetamol, moisturiser essentially things but then I have other things which I call my 'what if's'. So what if I need a pair of scissors or a knife or a pair of tiny little tweezers? Well then I have my mini pen knife which in all honesty I rarely use. What if i am bored? I have my kindle. What if I get caught in the rain and my makeup is ruined (this happens frequently last time I decided me and my friends didn't need an umbrella before a party. This majorly backfired)? I have a makeup bag. What if I need to write something down? I have a note pad and pen. What if my phone runs out of battery? I have a charger I am forever prepared.

Now into the finer details of my makeup bag. I don't take anything too fussy out and about with me but I take the things I can just refresh on the train or in the bathroom. So firstly I take my Clinique bb cream as it is very easy and light to apply on the go. I take a powder, essential for stopping your makeup looking overly dewy throughout the day. I take Mascara, eyeliner (which I never use but still take) erase past by benefit which is my holy grail piece of on the go makeup, a powder brush, a lipstick, a lip balm and last but the thing a probably use the most after my erase paste, especially if I am out from day to night, a liquid mini highlighter. My bag is the one organised thing in my life and I love having it full of things that help me through the day (I am aware that I sound like I have a really eventful life I don't I just get excited by these type of things).

I really struggle with ending these blog posts so like my last post I will end with Anyhoo thank you for reading, it is muchly appreciated and please comment and follow me.

Lots of Love

An Introduction to Me

Okay so this is about the 50 millionth time I have written this post due to the fact my english skills are terrible and it never sounds quite right. Not meaning to sound cliche, but I want this first post to be perfect, despite the fact I am not very interesting and I have quite little to say about me, so I am going to approach the basics of well... me with a series of questions (if you are remotely interested). So here goes nothing...

1. What is my name?
Katie.

2. How old am I?
16, but don't now label me as ignorant as I can damn well hold my own in a battle

3. Where do I live?
Not going to give you my exact adress but I live near Liverpool (the land of The Beatles, Desperate Scouswives and John Bishop), however I am one of the least scouse people you will meet in the North-West.

4. Favourite Music Artist
BEN HOWARD, just a little bit obsessed.

5. Siblings?
19 year old sister and 13 year old brother.

6. What will I blog about?
General makeup/beauty/fashion/lifestyle things

7. Why am I blogging?
Due to the fact I am obsessed with everything makeup (which I am sorry if it sounds very shallow but i am nothing if not truthful) and I would like to share my love for it.

8. Favourite makeup brand?
Sorry if this is predictable but I think it will have to be MAC (however i do think it can be hit and miss but what it does hit it hits in style).

9. Favourite makeup item?
this is a hard one but it is beetween NARS sheer glow foundation or my MAC quad which technically is 4 so I am going to go with NARS sheer glow as it is just faultless (despite not having a pump tut tut).

10. Favourite beauty Youtubers?
Now i have whittled this down a great deal as i think there are so many amazing beauty gurus but it will have to be:
Tanya Burr
Fleur de Force
Zoella
Sprinkle of Glitter (and Darcy of course)
Vivianna does makeup
and last but not least
Lily Pebbles

Anyhoo, I am going to leave you beautiful people in peace now as I do not want to bore you too much butI would love love love love you to follow my future blog posts, I will try and make them was interesting as possible.

Lots of Love
Katie
